Answer your email in your blog
The other day when I was talking with Griff Wigley about his practice of working with civic leaders and guiding them in their use of weblogs, he shared a very key and careful insight:
Answer your email in your blog.
Not all of it, of course, but you and I all have the sort of messages we get where there is one person who it's going to be sent to but you know that it will be the same question asked again or the same explanation that you've carefully worked out. So don't just email it over and over again, blog it. You'll be happier for it when the next conversation over that topic happens out in the open and not confined to your inbox.
