Mental Maps, Gould and White
I just requested Gould and White's "Mental Maps", via the wonderful MILE interlibrary loan system.
A blog that covers this stuff (interesting!) is the rodcorp "Mapping, transport, tube" category.
Here's a seminar featuring it called "A Sense of Place" at Hope in the UK.
some day I will add a category here "maps". note to self

You really like MILE? I find it one of the most awful user experiences ever. Slow, have to search in two separate indexes, you'll request a book the system says is available only to get an email an hour later saying that it isn't, which means you have to start all over again. Yuck. I've complained (to MILE and to AADL) but nothing's helped.

You know, I just tried googling this site for another book you got via interlibrary loan, which I know I wanted to try to find. But I must have lost the note I wrote about it.
But I couldn't find the post where you mentioned the book.
Could you help my failing brain, please? :)
