The governor of Utah, Gary R. Herbert, signed HB 477 into law on March 8, 2011. The bill changes Utah's public records law, known as GRAMA, to increase costs to the public for records requests in Utah and to restrict access to records which had previously been available for public access. This bill takes effect on July 1, 2011.
