Billions of sublet advertisements

Hey, you can get a sublet near campus, near the hospital, with housemates, in need of housemates, close to the Arb, close to bus stops, or close to the CCRB -- even, presumably, close to Cafe Ambrosia! Some of them have on-site washer and dryer, or wireless internet; many do or do not allow pets.

A reason to put together a tiny pocket bus schedule

Jonathan likes to go for a walk late at night to go to sleep, and he also seems to be soothed by bus rides. It's too far to walk to the cafe late (about 20-25 minutes from home) but if I took the bus one way or the other I could be in late. To do this right I'd need to have the buses timed to the minute since the #5 only comes once an hour.

How Cafe Ambrosia is different, #1 in a series: no huge TV screen playing CNN (that would be Atlanta Bread Company).

Sunday at the cafe with Saul and Jonathan

Our usual - soy milk warm but not too warm and a chocolate muffin for Saul, double latte for me. Jonathan slept mostly - at 9 weeks old he's too young for coffee.

On the walls: the winner of the NCAA basketball brackets.

Cafes with no bulletin boards

How does a cafe live without having a bulletin board for people to post to?

This Starbucks in Pittsburgh (in Squirrel Hill) could be anywhere from looking at the walls, no sign of any local activity news anywhere.

Finally got a good photo

This is a good shot of the pictures board, with lots of smiling faces up. If you zoom in you can see pictures of the owners and their kids. My postcard is on the middle right.

A chocolate muffin, and soy milk, warm but not too warm

Saul's regular Sunday order.

To do this right, I need to take my camera with me more

Note to self: take the camera to the coffee shop every Sunday, so that I can start taking these pictures.

On the wall: St. Louis Cardinals pennants.

First post

I get to Cafe Ambrosia at least once a week, and there's always a raft of interesting things up on the bulletin board - either postcards from around the world, pictures of Ed and Mike catching big fish, cute shots of little kids, or the bulletin board full of events and news.

The only way to really see what's on the bulletin board is to go there, but here I hope is a little capture of it.
